UCSF Physical Therapy Health and Wellness Center

Bakar Fitness & Recreation Center, Mission Bay Campus

Services include: Tailored programs (BalanceFit, NeuroFit, BrainFit, Brain and Physical Fitness) for patients with Parkinson's disease, gait training on a body weight supported treadmill system, opportunities to participate in exercise research for Parkinson's disease, and others.  Dr. Nancy Byl, licensed physical therapist and widely-recognized researcher, brings a research component to this practice, including a focus on neuroplasticity. Services at the Wellness Center may not be covered by insurance.

UCSF Nutrition Counseling Clinic

Registered dietitians at the Parnassus and Mount Zion campuses provide nutrition counseling for patients with Parkinson's disease that focuses on best practices for this disease.

Integrative Medicine

UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine

Individual services that may be helpful for living with Parkinson's disease include:

Integrative medicine consultation, Acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine, Integrative psychiatry and psychotherapy, Guided imagery, Therapeutic massage, and Ayurveda consultation.

Group Programs that support movement and healthy living include:
