Circulating Biomarkers for Parkinson's Disease

In this study, researchers are collecting blood samples to learn more about the role of the immune system in Parkinson’s disease.  Researchers are investigating a particular protein that may influence the survival of some neurons in the brain. This study is sponsored by faculty at UCSF.  About 20 patients and 20 controls will give blood samples for this research.

Study participation involves a one-time blood draw at UCSF Parnassus Campus.
