Cognitive Study - Effects of Rivastigmine

Study Title:

The effects of the rivastigmine patch on attention and behavior in Parkinson's disease with dementia.

The study uses novel measures including fMRI and computerized attention testing to assess the effectiveness of the Exelon patch in treating attention and behavior in demented patients who have a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.

Previous Eligibility:

  • Patients with Parkinson’s disease with mild cognitive impairment, Parkinson’s disease and dementia & patients with dementia with Lewy bodies.
  • Procedure: 12-week open-label trial using the Exelon patch. The study involves 4 visits and functional MRI.

This study has completed enrollment and is currently analyzing data from participants.
